Dr. Sogocio relocated to Merced in 2009 with her husband (a native of Merced) and their two children. She is excited about the ongoing growth in Merced. Her medical practice has thrived in the evolving medical community, and she remains committed to advancing women's healthcare here in Merced.
In 2007, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Barnabas Medical Center, in Livingston, NJ. Since residency, Dr. Sogocio has worked in both private practice and as a Hospitalist in northern New Jersey. In addition, she has worked with and mentored resident physicians and medical students in various women's public health clinics. Now in Merced, she works as a solo, private practitioner. She is particularly interested in adolescent gynecology, individualized contraceptive education supporting a heightened awareness of women's health issues, and treating a spectrum of women's health issues.
Dr. Sogocio completed medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. She also has a Master's degree in Public Health from The George Washington University in Washington D.C., and obtained her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Sogocio was born in Toledo, OH of Filipino-born parents. She enjoys yoga, cooking, hiking, and traveling. Moreover, she is fluent in both written and conversational Spanish.
